My name is Eva van der Wacht, a graduate in health sciences with a heart that beats for elder care. EVA-assist was born from my belief that seniors, especially those living abroad, deserve someone by their side who is caring, reliable, and involved.
My experience as a caregiver has shown me how valuable genuine attention is. Whether it’s a meaningful conversation, doing grocery shopping together, or accompanying someone to an appointment, being truly there for someone makes a difference. This attention is not only for the person receiving care but also for their loved one. They too deserve support and a moment of relief.
Before settling in Dénia, I lived in several places including Valencia, Hamburg, and Copenhagen. I also sailed the world as a Public Health Officer aboard cruise ships. This experience, combined with my academic background in geriatrics, dementia, and (clinical) nutrition, provides me with the right foundation to support seniors and their families with both knowledge and compassion.
Life in Spain feels like home to me. My love for elder care and my connection to Spanish life come together in my choice to live and work in the Dénia region.
